When I was working at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood, John Lennon's star on the Hollywood walk of fame was right around the corner, in front of the Capitol Records building. Every year on the anniversary of John's murder, there's a good party at that star. As part of my Hollywood Downside Up series of Hollywood photographs, I took a picture of John's star while a temporary construction wall covered part of it.
